FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptists reached the goal for the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions for the first time since 2007-08 in July when it extended the record offering for the goal which was set in late April.
When the final tally was totaled at the end of August, the amount stood at $2,227,367, a 29.41 percent increase over 2020-21.
“Tennessee Baptists have been used of the Lord to accomplish a stewardship miracle for Great Commission work across our state,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.
Many Tennessee Baptist churches are currently observing the Week of Prayer for the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions (Sept. 11-18). The goal for the 2022-23 GOTM is $2,400,000 and will be collected from Sept. 1, 2022-Aug. 31, 2023. B&R
