TENNESSEE BAPTISTS SURPASS $2.7M MISSIONS OFFERING GOAL

September 2, 2025

FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptists have officially surpassed their $2.7 million goal for this year’s Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions, raising $2,731,089.91 by Friday, Aug. 29.

The total represents a significant increase from previous years. The 2023-24 campaign raised $2,448,557, while 2022-23 brought in $2,240,421. Including Golden Opportunity projects, which contributed an additional $157,093.49 in cash gifts, the combined total exceeded $2.8 million.

The record marks the fourth consecutive year that gifts to the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions have surpassed $2.4 million, achieving this milestone with two months remaining in the fiscal year that ended Aug. 31.

Randy C. Davis, executive director-treasurer of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, emphasized donors’ generous response to ongoing mission needs.

“Once again Tennessee Baptists have responded to great need by setting a new record of cash gifts through the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions,” Davis said previously when July donations pushed the campaign over the record.

The increased funding directly expands ministry reach across Tennessee, supporting compassion ministries, disaster relief, church planting, collegiate campus ministry, missions discipleship programs, the BlueOval City partnership, adoption services and associational ministries.

Davis highlighted specific examples of the offering’s impact, from supporting a church plant that recently opened a new building to helping revitalize a congregation that grew from eight members considering closure to 120 in attendance. The funds also assisted families with adoption costs and provided housing for those displaced by Hurricane Helene flooding.

Named for W.C. and Mildred Golden, who established the offering at the turn of the 20th century, the annual campaign funds Tennessee-specific mission work not covered by the Cooperative Program.

The 2025-26 fiscal year began Sept. 1. Tennessee Baptists can donate or find more information at GoldenOffering.org. B&R
