BRENTWOOD — Bob Brown, church revitalization specialist, Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, for two years, resigned Jan. 31 to become executive director, Lakeway Christian School System, based in Morristown. LCA operates a K-12 school, Cornerstone Academy, with plans to break ground for a new school in the next couple of weeks. He also has been serving as interim pastor, Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Knoxville since last year.
For the TBMB, Brown also was Harvest Field team leader. Formerly he was pastor, First Baptist Church, Dandridge, for seven years; Broadway Baptist Church, Knoxville; and First Baptist Church, LaFollette. He also was youth pastor, First Baptist Church, Concord, Knoxville.
Randy C. Davis, president and executive director, TBMB, said “With a pastor’s heart, godly wisdom, and a deep passion to see struggling churches thrive, Dr. Brown has done an incredible job in laying the foundation to help hundreds of churches across our state experience new life.
“He started putting together our church revitalization process from scratch. We are very thankful for his excellent ministry with the TBMB,” stated Davis.
