HUMBOLDT — A book written by Tennessee Baptist Becky Drace to give hope for people who have experienced crises in their lives will be released nationally on Dec. 10.
Drace is the wife of longtime Tennessee Baptist evangelist and pastor Jerry Drace.
The book is entitled The Bright Side of Blue: Finding Hope in the Dark Places in Life and includes a foreword from Mike Huckabee.
The book chronicles her journey through two years of cancer treatments and includes 10 other stories of people who have experienced dark times in their life such as divorce and abuse.
The book addresses the question: How do I return to a brighter blue place from a dark blue experience?
Her keys for returning to a brighter blue place are reaching in (get in tune with what you are feeling), reaching out (find a place of support and encouragement) and reaching up (God is the greatest place to begin restoration).
