B&R now available in Spanish

Baptist and Reflector

FRANKLIN — The online version of the Baptist and Reflector is now available in Spanish.

Beginning May 1, the Baptist and Reflector added a translation feature that converts the entire BaptistandReflector.org website into Spanish.

The adaptation was made available in conjunction with Dogwood Media Solutions, the web development company responsible for the paper’s website and the award-winning TNBaptist.org site.

“We’ve recently added the ability to convert the TBMB website into four languages other than English,” said Mike Salva, TBMB media specialist. “Users can now convert the site into Spanish, Korean, Chinese and Arabic.

“In doing that, we also wanted to adjust the B&R site so that it can be read in Spanish,” Salva added.

The change to the B&R site has been in development for some time, said Chris Turner, TBMB director of communications and editor of the Baptist and Reflector.

“We’ve needed to update many of the technical aspects of the site and transition it to a new server,” Turner said. “Now that work is complete, we wanted to make the site available in Spanish.

“Tennessee Baptists have more than 100 Spanish-language churches within the TBC network, and we felt it was important for those churches to have access to Tennessee Baptist news in their heart language,” Turner added.

To access the Spanish version, along with other language options on the TBMB site, users will see a floating box labeled “EN” or “ES.”

To switch languages, click the dropdown menu on either the desktop or smartphone version and select the desired language. B&R
