Wes Jones, disaster relief specialist for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, has placed a call-out for Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief flood recovery teams that can respond in Glenallen, Mo.
According to reports, the Glenallen area received up to eight inches of rain in a matter of hours (as of Aug. 23), and the heavy downfall caused flash flooding in the region, Jones said.
DR teams that are able to respond will be housed in Marble Hill, Mo.
Jones said those who are available to send a team should contact Elizabeth Holmes (eholmes@tnbaptist.org) as soon as possible.
Meanwhile in West Tennessee, Beulah Baptist Association has requested rebuild teams to respond in Union City. Jones said teams are needed to put up drywall/paneling, and put down subfloors and snap-lock or laminate flooring. Some teams may need to move some furniture, too, he said.
