Baptist and Reflector
BRENTWOOD — The Tennessee Men’s Chorale and the Tennessee Ladies Chorus will hold a benefit concert for Paul Clark on Friday, Jan. 20, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Jackson.
Clark is the former worship and music specialist for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board (formerly Executive Board). He suffered a stroke in 2015 following The Summit held at Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood, and was unable to return to work.
“We want to come together to honor the legacy of our friend and conductor while also giving friends across the state the opportunity to help the Clark family with expenses associated with Paul’s care,” said Phil Lundy, music and worship pastor at Tulip Grove Baptist Church, Old Hickory, and president of the Tennessee Baptist Church Music Conference.
“We anticipate a strong outpouring of love and support for Paul and his family at this event,” Lundy said.
There is no admission to the concert, but a love offering will be collected for Clark, Lundy said.
For those who are unable to attend but would like to assist the Clark family, a fund has been established by “Friends of Paul Clark.”
