FRANKLIN — For the second time in three years, Tennessee Baptist Convention churches have met their adopted Cooperative Program budget.

In October, Tennessee Baptists gave $3,123,108 through the Cooperative Program, closing out the year on a positive note.

For the year-to-date, Tennessee Baptists gave $34,604,572, an increase of $745,213 or 2.2 percent over the previous year.

The amount also is $104,572 or 0.30 percent over budget needs for 2017-18. The fiscal year ended Oct. 31.

Tennessee Baptists last met the budget in 2015-16.

“Last November the Tennessee Baptist Convention adopted a Cooperative Program budget of $34,500,000,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

“It is a real joy that we’ve seen Tennessee Baptists meet and exceed that financial goal to support church centered and field focused Great Commission work in Tennessee and around the globe! Congratulations and praise the Lord!”
