Baptist and Reflector
In a continuing effort to provide aid for those impacted by the crisis in Ukraine, Tennessee Baptist Mission Board director and executive director Randy C. Davis and Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief are inviting Tennessee Baptist churches to partner with the TBMB on two projects.
Here is a look at each project, including a list of items needed for donation for each project.
Project 1: Moldova
Moldova is a small country of 1.5 million people and has taken in over 300,000 refugees. Tennessee Baptist DR has been asked to ship a container filled with these items (only new items):
• Linens for single beds
• Pillows
• Blankets
• Towels and washcloths
• Clothing-All ages all sizes
• Underwear
• Socks
• Thermal wear
• Basic first aid items
• Baby diapers
• Food (Tender Mercies Meals) From our partner Midwest Food Bank View this link for more information. If you would like to contribute toward that, please specify that on your gift.
Project 2: Ukrainians
The Tennessee Baptist DR teams has a partnership in Israel ministers that aids pregnant women, single mothers with children up to five years old. To help with this ministry, the following items are needed. Please note: All items should be new or very gently used.
• Clothes for pregnant mothers
• Clothes and underwear for infants through toddler
• Diapers
• Pacifiers
• Children’s socks and shoes
• Baby Blankets
If your church or association would like to participate in one or both projects, please have all items collected, boxed or in tubs or sturdy bags to the collection locations by April 25. Please designate on each bag, box or tub which project the collection is to be shipped — “Project 1: Moldova” or “Project 2: Israel.”
The following are locations for collections to be donated. Please call ahead to the specific location to ensure someone will be there to receive them.

The Tennessee Baptist Mission Board through Disaster Relief has sent $70,000 in funding to assist those on the ground to help meet the needs of the refugees.
Please remember financial gifts are always the best way in a situation like this to get supplies to where they are needed in the most efficient way. However, due to the pandemic and resources being strained around the world, the specific items on this list are much needed. B&R
