MANCHESTER — David Evans, director of evangelism at the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, said Jesus Tent is just one example of the impact that can be made through servant evangelism — a means of sharing the gospel while also performing acts of service.
“Every local church in Tennessee and across the world can do a servant evangelism project,” said Evans. “And you’ll be amazed by how effective it can be in reaching people for Jesus.”
Evans said ideas for different servant evangelism projects can be found on “The Reaching App.”
“You can download The Reaching App on your smartphone, your tablet, or on your streaming TV device, like Apple TV,” he said.
“And after you download it, you’ll see a button labeled ‘equip.’ Just tap on that and scroll down, and you’ll find a list — it’s in alphabetical order — of servant evangelism ideas. I’ve created a list of 30 ideas that will give you how many resources you need and how much investment.”
