LINDEN — Linden Valley Baptist Conference Center has been awarded the 2015 Star of Excellence for Outstanding Non-Profit Organization.
The award was presented to Tim Bearden, conference centers senior manager for the Tennessee Baptist Convention, on Dec. 3 during an awards banquet sponsored by the Perry County Chamber of Commerce. The conference center was recognized for the “outstanding service and contributions your organization and its volunteers provide to benefit Perry County.”
“The TBC Linden Valley Conference Center staff makes all of us thankful and proud of the work that has been recognized with this prestigious award.” said Randy C. Davis, executive director/treasurer of the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
“And knowing the heart of Tim and his team, they desire that this recognition honors the Lord.” Davis added that the award is a reflection of the work the TBC staff does on a daily basis to “make Christ known by serving churches.”
William Maxwell, administrative director for the TBC agreed.
“Day in and day out, the staff at Linden Valley serve the kingdom by serving Tennessee Baptist churches and other groups by providing an environment where the Spirit of God can speak to individuals, strengthen churches, and reveal Himself in a unique way,” he said.
Bearden noted the attributes that best describe why Linden Valley is an excellent place to host retreats are best told by those who use the facility.
One guest wrote that “God was there. We felt His presence and Linden Valley gave us a great place to meet together and to meet Him.”
