INDIANAPOLIS — Eight resolutions were adopted by messengers attending the 2024 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Indianapolis.

The Committee on Resolutions proposed 10 resolutions (some submitted by messengers at large and some by the committee), but messengers only adopted 8 of those — time restraints caused two of the resolutions to be left unpresented.

Resolutions are nonbinding but do express concerns of messengers participating in a particular convention meeting. Read the full text of the resolutions below:

  • On Integrity in SBC Leadership
  • On Defending Religious Liberty
  • On Just War and the Pursuit of Peace
  • On Justice and Peace in the Aftermath of the October 7 Attack on Israel
  • On the Ethical Realities of Reproductive Technologies and the Dignity of the Human Embryo
  • On the God-Given Rights and Responsibilities of Parents
  • On Evangelism and the Great Commission
  • On Appreciation for Indianapolis
