MUSIC EVENT FOR STUDENTS TO BE HELD IN JACKSON

FRANKLIN — The Youth Project, an event for church youth choirs and youth singers, will be held Feb. 8-9 at West Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson.

The event is co-sponsored by the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board worship and music ministries and Union University in Jackson. The cost is $30 and includes two meals and a T-shirt.

Heather Sorenson of Dallas, Texas, will serve as the clinician for the event. She is known for her compositions in choral anthems, solo piano collections and orchestrations. Her works are performed regularly at competitions, concerts, and churches worldwide.
