Baptist and Reflector
FRANKLIN — Staff members of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board have recently developed and produced Tennessee Golden Hour (TGH), a new podcast designed to inform Tennessee Baptists on a variety of topics.
“The Tennessee Golden Hour’s purpose is to provide a weekly treasure trove of stories, ideas and tools for Tennessee Baptists,” said Matt Tullos, stewardship specialist for the TBMB and co-host of the podcast. “Our goal is to do it in an entertaining and timely way.
“Already we have a library of conversations on church planting, pastoring, LGBTQ issues, social media, crisis communications, preaching, church growth, evangelism and lots more,” he said.
Beth Moore, compassion ministries specialist for the TBMB and co-host of the podcast, had the idea a couple of years ago to develop this podcast, but this year we’ve really made this a part of our work with the help of our communications team, Tullos said.
“TGH also helps us share the good news about all God is doing through the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions and the Good News of the gospel and how Jesus is changing lives,” he observed.
Moore agreed. “We wanted to tell the story of Tennessee Baptists and what God is doing through the Golden Offering and through our churches on a platform that might reach Tennessee Baptists in a new way.
“We also wanted to have conversations about current issues that matter to Tennessee Baptists,” she added.
A new episode premieres every Tuesday, Tullos said. Listeners can subscribe HERE for the audio podcast or view the conversation on youtube HERE. Also, simply typing @tennesseegoldenhour in the YouTube search engine will guide listeners to the podcast.
“Tennessee Baptists can really help us promote the Tennessee Golden Hour by subscribing, sharing, ‘liking’ and commenting on the podcast,” Tullos said. “By doing so, they will help us reach a much broader audience.”B&R
