The amendments will be effective upon the approval by two-thirds of the delegates present and voting.

Here is a summary of the major revisions being recommended:

• Rewording of Purpose.

• Provision, if needed, for virtual meeting of Annual Meeting.

• Revamping of Executive Board – smaller Executive Board made up of Tennessee WMU Officers, WMU Representatives, and At-Large Executive Board Members who are directly elected by the delegates at the Annual Meeting. Focus of the Executive Board is on personnel, policy and financial matters.

• Vacancies of any position on the Executive Board can be filled, formerly just the office of President.

• Strategic Leadership Team — newly created entity made up of Tennessee WMU Officers and Associational WMU Directors. Focus of SLT is planning and implementing the ministries and events of Tennessee WMU.

• Standing Committees:

• Executive Board – Policy-Finance Committee and Personnel Committee

• Strategic Leadership Team – Scholarship Committee and Week of Prayer for State Missions Promotion Committee

• Nominating Committee has representation from Executive Board, SLT, and at-large positions.

• Spring Executive Board meeting is not exclusively tied to the Annual Meeting.
