If you have read the Baptist and Reflector regularly over the past few weeks, you have seen the name Ashley Perham quite often.
Ashley is a student at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro who served as an intern for the paper this summer. Though she received college credit for the experience, the B&R was the real winner.
Ashley did an outstanding job. She assisted in writing feature stories, proofing the paper and did some photography. She took on every assignment we gave her and responded with professionalism and enthusiasm. She took every task seriously and always gave her best effort.
She has a strong desire to be a professional journalist and it is my hope and prayer that she accomplishes her goal. The field of journalism needs an influx of good, young talent who will adhere to the principles of factual, objective reporting. Ashley fits the bill.
Ashley also is a strong Christian believer. She is very active in the Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) at MTSU. She is involved in leadership with the BCM and has participated on their mission trips, including a disaster relief trip to North Carolina.
It has been a blessing to have Ashley on our B&R team this summer. Our desire is that you will continue to see her byline on occasion as a contributing writer. Regardless, thank you Ashley for a job well done this summer.
