MURFREESBORO — The opening session of the 2023 State Evangelism Conference featured worship, encouragement and urgency on Sunday night at New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
Operating with “Testify” as the theme, this year’s two-day conference opened with JJ Washington and Jamie Dew serving as the featured speakers during Sunday night’s session. Worship music included the Daniel Doss Band and the Old Path Quartet.
The conference — which was relaunched last year after an absence of more than a decade — continues on Monday, beginning with registration at 8:30 a.m. The morning session will include featured speakers Matthew Greer, Barron Martin and Dan Spencer.
The afternoon session begins at 1:30 p.m., and will be comprised of a series of breakout sessions, followed by a time of worship that will include the Daniel Doss band and featured speaker Roc Collins.
The evening session — the final session of the two-day conference — begins at 6 p.m. The Daniel Doss Band will again lead worship music, along with messages from Randy C. Davis and Stephen Rummage.
Coverage of the event can be found in the upcoming print issue of the Baptist and Reflector as well as the B&R website.
