HENDERSONVILLE – Summit, which includes a host of activities and events including the annual meeting of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, begins Sunday, Nov. 12, and concludes with a golf tournament on Nov. 16.
The theme of this year’s Summit is “Rescue Now … Whatever It Takes.”
Summit kicks off Nov. 12 at 6:15 p.m. with a special worship service at First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, with guest preacher Bartholomew Orr, pastor of Brown Missionary Baptist Church, Southaven, Miss.
The Tennessee Men’s Chorale will present a concert prior to the service, beginning at 5:30 p.m. A fellowship will follow. An All-Nations worship celebration will be held at 6 p.m. at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville.
The TBC Pastors Conference will be held on Monday, Nov. 13. Speakers include Orr, Stan May, Tim McGehee, David Platt, Todd Stinnett, and Afshin Ziafat.
The annual meeting begins on Tuesday, Nov. 14, and concludes at noon the following day.
The Tuesday night session will feature the TBMB Executive Board report and the president’s address by Steve Freeman, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Springfield.
Breakout sessions also will be offered on a variety of topics on both Monday, Nov. 13, and Tuesday, Nov. 14.
