FRANKLIN — Four Tennessee Baptist Convention churches have joined other churches in the state that provide the Baptist and Reflector to its leadership.
Page Heights Baptist Church, Goodlettsville, Brighton Baptist Church, Brighton, Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Gallatin, and New Liberty Baptist Church, Birchwood, began sending the paper to members as part of the Church Membership Plan.
“While we offer stories online, the print edition enables Tennessee Baptists to have all the news in one, convenient package,” said editor Lonnie Wilkey.
In recent months, the paper has gradually undergone some design changes under the direction of David Dawson that have enhanced the publication, Wilkey said.
“Our goal is to give our churches the best publication possible with stories that inspire and encourage their members to spread the gospel in our state and around the world,” he added.
The paper also attempts to address issues that face every Tennessee Baptist church. In recent weeks, the paper has focused on preventing sexual abuse in the church as well as how to enhance church security procedures.
Under the Church Membership Plan, the paper can be sent to every leader such as deacons, teachers, committee members, etc., for only $10 per subscription.
“We are so grateful for every church that provides the paper to some or all of its members,” Wilkey observed. There are many more, however, that could benefit from informing their members of what it truly means to be a part of the Tennessee and Southern Baptist family, he added.
