FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave $2,801,903 through the Cooperative Program in April.
Year-to-date gifts total $17,476,193. After six months of the 2017-18 budget year, CP giving is up $330,759 or 1.9 percent over the same time frame last year.Cooperative Program gifts also are $226,193 or 1.31 percent over budget needs after six months.
“Tennessee Baptists continue to show their generosity and desire in reaching our state, our nation, and our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ,” observed Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.
“With six months to go in our current fiscal year, Tennessee Baptists have sacrificially given in order that missions and ministry needs are being met,” he continued. “My hope and prayer is that the strong support given by Tennessee Baptists so far will continue throughout the year.”
