FRANKLIN — After six months of the 2018-19 fiscal year, gifts from Tennessee Baptist churches are on track to meet the Cooperative Program budget.
TBC churches gave $3,216,841 through the Cooperative Program in April.
For the year-to-date, Tennessee Baptists have given $17,669,992. The amount is $193,800 or 1.1 percent over the amount given over the first six months of last fiscal year and is $419,992 or 2.43 percent ahead of budget needs.
“We are grateful that Tennessee Baptists have risen to the challenge of meeting Great Commission needs in our state, our nation and around the world,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.
“Tennessee Baptists have always responded well to needs and there is no greater need in our world today than to share the good news of Jesus Christ,” he added.
