FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave nearly $35 million through the 2022-23 Cooperative Program budget, falling just short of the CP goal.
In November, Tennessee Baptists gave $2,721,756.
Total Cooperative Program income for the year was $34,473,102. This is .92 percent behind last year and 1.51 percent behind budget. These funds were allocated $800,000 for CP promotion and administration, 47.5 percent to the SBC and 52.5 percent to the TBC.
In addition, non-CP designated gifts of $622,777, brought the total allocation to TBC ministries to $18,300,105, or $345,100 (1.9 percent) above budget. Likewise non-CP designated gifts of $192,475 brought the total allocation to SBC ministries to $16,186,248 or only $58,752 (0.3 percent) below budget.
“The generosity of Tennessee Baptists continues to set the pace nationally when it comes to financially supporting Great Commission enterprises,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.
“Simply put, thanks to Tennessee Baptists, it’s been another great year,” Davis added. “Praise the Lord!” B&R
