Baptist and Reflector
FRANKLIN — During a month that most churches did not meet in person, Tennessee Baptist Convention churches still gave $2,694,179 through the Cooperative Program.
For the year to date, Tennessee Baptists have given $17,303,345 through the Cooperative Program. The amount is $366,647 or 2.1 percent below giving at the same time last year and $196,655 or 1.12 percent below budget needs after six months of the fiscal year.
“Churches across Tennessee are pressing through an unprecedented time adjusting to the devastating effects of COVID-19,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.
He noted that April was the first full month of the majority of TBC not gathering together physically, yet “they faithfully and sacrificially continue to give through the Cooperative Program to support state, national and global missions. I am thankful for our great network of churches.
