Brace Baptist Church, Summertown, celebrated its 100th anniversary celebration on April 9. A luncheon followed the morning worship service and then an Easter egg hunt for children was held.

West Hills Baptist Church, Jonesborough, is offering a Grow-Your-Own Community Garden with raised beds assigned to families who agree to volunteer in three events. For more information contact Pastor Daniel Shrader at 252-916-6813 or danielshrader26@yahoo.com.

Westwood Baptist Church, Nashville, is helping plant a new Hispanic Baptist church in West Nashville. Robert Hammer is pastor of Westwood Baptist and Gus Zuniga is pastor of the new Hispanic congregation.

Brush Creek Baptist Church, Brush Creek, will hold an All Day Gospel Singing on Saturday, May 20, at the DeKalb County Fairgrounds, Alexandria, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. For more information, call 615-683-9606.

Kevin Gallimore has been called as pastor, Birds Creek Baptist Church, Paris, effective Feb. 1.

Michael Vickers has been called as pastor, Forest Hill Baptist Church, Parrotsville.

Chris Fachman was called as associate pastor and minister to students, Meridian Baptist Church, Knoxville, on April 2.

Savanna Evans has been called as children’s minister, First Baptist Church, Gallatin.

ASSOCIATIONS

Cumberland Plateau Baptist Association, based in Crossville, will hold its Associational Senior Adult Revival Monday-Tuesday, May 1-2, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Edsel West will speak.   • This group from Lascassas Baptist Church, Woodbury, traveled to Noblesville, Ind., recently to work with Restoration Church through the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board. Lascassas Baptist has begun a partnership with the church.
  • Recognized for their tenure on April 6 by the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board staff were Mark Miller, Harvest Field team leader/Sunday School specialist, 20 years; and Lucyara Usery, administrative assistant, five years.
  • About 300 students involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries worship during the 2017 Spring Leadership Conference held at Linden Valley Baptist Conference Center, Linden, April 7-9. Trevin Wax of LifeWay Christian Resources, Nashville, spoke. Also, summer missionaries were commissioned.
