Trinity Baptist, Knoxville, will have revival services May 4–7. The evangelist will be Phil Glisson of Memphis.

Rebecca George, author, speaker and the host of the podcast “Radical Radiance,” has written You’re Not Too Late: Trusting God’s Timing in a Hurry-Up World. She is the wife of Dustin George, lead pastor of Vonore Baptist Church, Vonore. Her book presents a comprehensive approach to waiting that teaches how to commit desires to the care of our Savior. The book is available on Amazon.

Kirby

Terry L. Kirby, lead pastor of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge, wrote “Risk-Takers: The Adventure of Walking By Faith” for the Summer 2025 edition of Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life, Personal Study Guide. The six lessons are dated June 1-July 6, 2025.

 

 

  • Mt. View Baptist Church in Antioch ordained Dalton Alvis to the gospel ministry on Feb. 16. Alvis has served six years as the church’s youth minister. Pictured is church elder Charles Parker, pastor David Outlaw, Alvis, and church elder Bryan Carr.
  • The Duck River Baptist Association hosted a Women’s Night of Worship on April 5 at Grace Baptist Church. The women of the Duck River Baptist Association came together with almost 300 women in attendance to hear Cherie Willims from Harmony Baptist Church speak. They enjoyed worship and praise music led by Tullahoma First Baptist, Grace Baptist and Cowan First Baptist.
