Gibson Baptist Association celebrated Roger Stacy’s 50th anniversary in the ministry, including the last 15 years at the association, during their recent annual meeting. Stacy surrendered to the ministry on Aug. 18, 1971 and was licensed to the gospel ministry on Oct. 3, 1971 by Algoma Baptist Church in Pontotoc, Miss. He was ordained on Jan. 9, 1972 and was pastoring a church during his senior year of high school. He is joined by his wife, Penny.

The Girls in Action (GAs) and Royal Ambassadors (RAs) of Central Baptist Church, Johnson City recently collected $676.53 for Pure Water Pure Love (PWPL). Approximately 3.4 million people die yearly from water-related diseases and 80 million people lack access to clean water. PWPL provides clean water to people in need.
