DEATHS
William Timothy “Tim” Adams, retired pastor of several Tennessee churches including Union Hill Baptist Church, Goodlettsville; Rayon City Baptist Church, Old Hickory; Wilhite Baptist Church, Cookeville; and Alethia Baptist Fellowship, Cookeville, along with churches in Ohio and Kentucky, died Jan. 25. He was 67. He is survived by his wife Faith; three children and several grandchildren.
Milfred Olin “Mo” Eckel, Jr, pastor of Heritage Faith Baptist Church, Millington, died Dec. 29. He was 79. He is survived by his wife Joyce, a son and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
William Lee “Bill” Garner, IV, executive pastor of Harvest Church, died Jan. 17, in a plane crash along with three other members of Harvest Church (Tyler Patterson, Tyler Springer and Steve Tucker). He was 65. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; three children; three stepchildren and nine grandchildren.
Dorothy Janette “Dottie” Jones, wife of Scott Jones, pastor of First Baptist Church, Belvidere, died Jan. 4. She was 57. She is survived by her husband Scott, two children and several grandchildren.
Clifford Wayne Webb, retired pastor of Macon Road Baptist Church, Arlington, where he served for 44 years, died Dec. 24, 2022. He was 81. Webb also was the founder and chancellor of Macon Road Christian School. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen “Teddy;” three sons; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jack W. Wood, of LaVergne, retired pastor of several churches including Victory Baptist Church, Holly Grove Baptist Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, Woodbury Road Baptist Church and Scenic Drive Baptist Church, died Jan. 15. He was 79. He is survived by two sons and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carson-Newman University welcomed representatives of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary to campus on Feb. 14. As part of Seminary Day at the University, Carson-Newman students interested in attending seminary had the opportunity to meet, visit and ask questions of representatives.
