LEADERS
Randy Franklin Keene, senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Minor Hill, will write the Bible Studies for Life lessons for the June-August quarter. He joins Travis Biller, who will continue writing the Explore the Bible lessons for the next quarter. Keene did his New and Old Testament studies at Liberty University and completed the R.G. Lee Studies program at Union University in Jackson. He also has served as pastor of Mount Horeb Baptist Church, Ethridge; First Baptist Church, Hampshire, and Unity Baptist Church, Summertown. He and his wife, Lisa, have four children and five grandchildren.
Raymond Smith, technology services manager for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, recently celebrated 20 years of service with the organization. Smith lives in Tullahoma. He and his wife, Tammy, have two grown children and a grandson.
Libby Eaton, information specialist for the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, recently celebrated her 15th anniversary. She and her husband, Doug, have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Colby Mike recently celebrated his fifth anniversary as a production technician with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board. He and his wife, Jada, have an infant son, Landry.
DEATHS
Pamela Wilson, 65, of Elizabethton, died May 11. A native of Elizabethton, she was the wife of Dennis Wilson, pastor of Lynn Valley Baptist Church, Elizabethton. The couple was married for 46 years. She taught a ladies Sunday School class at Lynn Valley and organized the church’s annual ladies conference. In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons and three grandchildren.
Linda Powers, widow of former Ripley pastor Mike Powers died April 17. Powers served as pastor of First Indian Baptist Church, Ripley, from 1968 until his death in 1996.
