Joe and Linda Ledford, Mission Service Corps missionaries with the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board based in Chilhowee Baptist Association, Alcoa, are retiring. They have served 20 years, eight in Canada and 12 in Townsend where they lead C.H.A.R.M. (CHilhowee ARea Ministries). Gabe Brown, former youth minister, Dotson Memorial Baptist Church, Maryville, has been called as pastor, Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Seymour.
Robert “Bob” Payne has been called as pastor, Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, Tullahoma. Previously he was pastor, Spring Creek Baptist Church, Tullahoma, for 26 years.

DEATHS
Clarence P. Lewis, 94, former minister, died March 7 in Bristol. He started Sunset Village Baptist Church, Bristol, and served as pastor. He also was pastor or interim pastor of State Line Baptist Church, Laurel Bloomery; Pine Grove Baptist Church, Neva; and churches in Virginia. Additionally, Lewis worked 32 years at Raytheon, an aerospace and defense company. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Teresa Lewis of Greer, S.C., and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry Ray Vogel, 68, retired children’s worker, LifeWay Christian Resources, Nashville, for almost 20 years, died April 17. He also was a children’s minister in churches in Texas. He is survived by his wife, Janie; four children; and 13 grandchildren.

Brownsville Baptist Church, Brownsville, held an outreach event the day before Easter. About 20 members accepted assignments to visit former visitors or people referred by members. As a result, about 60 people were contacted, said Mike Young, minister of students and activities. The church had about 350 people attend its two simultaneous services — traditional and contemporary — on Easter morning.
About 30 missions workers from five churches in West Tennessee were hosted by Zion Baptist Church, Benton, March 27-31. The volunteers did construction, painting, and small engine repair for a church and Camp Agape of Polk County Baptist Association, based in Benton. The volunteers were from Calvary Baptist Church, Union City; Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Bradford; First Baptist Church, Bells; Macedonia Baptist Church, Ripley; and Holly Grove Baptist Church, Bells, reported Mike Hazlewood, pastor, Zion Baptist.
Fayette Baptist Church, Somerville, and The Grove at Red Oak Lake, Cordova, a camp which is a ministry of Faith Baptist Church, Bartlett, will hold CityServeCamp June 12-16, for the fourth year.
