TENNESCENE: WEEKS OF OCT. 9-22

CHURCHES

Shelby Forest Baptist Church, Millington, will hold fall revival services Oct. 21-23 at 6:30 p.m. Speakers include Kirk Kilpatrick (Oct. 21), Tim Seal (Oct. 22) and John Mahoney (Oct. 23). The church is located at 1207 Locke Cuba Road in Millington.

Riverview Baptist Church, Elizabethton, celebrated its 60th anniversary on Oct. 6.

Buchanan Baptist Church, Buchanan, will hold revival services Oct. 13-17 at 6:30 each evening with guest evangelist David Austin.

Bible Union Baptist Church, Martin, will host“Journey to Judgement Day” Oct. 18-20 from 6-8:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted with proceeds going toward missions. The church is located at 2852 Bible Union Road in Martin.

Palmersville Baptist Church, Palmersville, will hold revival services Oct. 20-23 with guest evangelist Don McCulley, pastor of First Baptist Church, Dresden. The Oct. 20 service begins at 6 while the other services will be held at 7 p.m. each night.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Greenfield, will hold revival services Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 28-30 at 7 p.m. with guest evangelist James Hazlewood and music leader Wendell Verdell.

Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Moscow, will hold revival services Oct. 20-23 at 6:30 p.m. with former pastor Bryan Morris as guest evangelist.

Memorial Baptist Church, Crossville, will hold its 50th homecoming celebration on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 10:30 am. Bill Roberts, interim pastor, will bring the message.  There will be a covered dish dinner in the Family Life Center following the service. For more information call 931-484-9278.

Stan Breeden

Steve Gamble is the new pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church, Athens, effective Sept. 22.

Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood, has called Stan Breeden as senior executive pastor. Breeden formerly served as assistant superintendent of operations for Maury County Schools. He and his wife, Debbie, are active members of Brentwood Baptist, attending the Spring Hill campus (The Church at Station Hill). Breeden also has served as executive pastor of First Baptist Church, Columbia.

  • A mission team from New Grove Baptist Church, Ardmore, recently traveled to Belize to do construction, Vacation Bible School and to share the gospel.   • Riverside Baptist Association recently returned from its second partnership mission trip to Rhode Island. The team was hosted by Frenchtown Baptist Church, Greenwich. The team prayerwalked, conducted a Backyard Kids Club, did renovation projects on the church and more.   • TBMB SPONSORS FIRST PASTOR’S CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT The first annual Pastor’s Classic Golf Tournament was held Sept. 27 at Patriot Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City. Approximately 50 golfers attended the event sponsored by the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and hosted by Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center. The event was self-funded with residual proceeds going to the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions.
