Baptist and Reflector
FRANKLIN — A new emphasis day has been added to the Tennessee Baptist Convention calendar for 2020.
Sunday, Jan. 12, will be observed as Tennessee Baptist Foundation Day.
“As I meet with churches across our state, I find that many of them have not heard of the work of the Tennessee Baptist Foundation,” said Bill Gruenewald, president/treasurer of the TBF.
“We want to make sure all Tennessee Baptist churches know who we are, what we do, and who we serve. For more than 81 years, our purpose has been to manage funds with integrity and help Tennessee Baptists leave legacies with a Kingdom focus.”
Gruenewald added that his desire is to help church members across Tennessee know that the Foundation exists to “help them make an impact for the Kingdom with their estates.”
Gruenewald listed three ways churches can help promote the Tennessee Baptist Foundation.
Distribute the bulletin inserts. “We have designed special promotional inserts to be distributed to your members at no cost to the church,” Gruenewald said. To order physical copies, visit tbfoundation.org/tbf-day. Churches can also download and print the inserts from the website.
Show the video. The Foundation also has created a three-minute video highlighting its ministry, Gruenewald said. It can be streamed or downloaded from tbfoundation.org/tbf-day.
Pray. “Most importantly, we hope you will encourage your congregation to pray for our work and the ministry we provide to all Tennessee Baptists on Sunday, Jan. 12, during your worship service,” he said.
“We can never have enough prayer support in accomplishing our Kingdom mission,” Gruenewald added.
