THE FABRIC OF LIFE

August 4, 2022

“Threads of Love,” a quilting group from First Baptist Church, Kingston, that meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month. They have been working on a project with Project Linus, a volunteer organization with a mission to provide a sense of comfort to children who are seriously ill or traumatized through the gift of handmade blankets or quilts crafted by volunteers. The organization has a goal to give each student in the Uvalde, Texas, school system a quilt or blanket when the new school year starts. The FBC quilting group recently finished 19 quilts to be donated in honor of the 19 students who lost their lives in the May 24 school shooting. Pictured, left row, front to back, are Kathy Trammell, Jane McPherson, Beverley Kelley, Brenda Malone; right row, front to back, are Madalyne Robbins, Kathye Stanfield, Joan Riddick.  Not present were Adele Stone and Wanda Deitz.
