First Baptist Church, Pegram, will present its 8th annual “Drive thru Bethlehem” on Dec. 8, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. The true story of Christmas will be presented from the time the angel appeared to Mary, the shepherds in the field, the trip to Bethlehem, their finding no room at the inn, the birth of Christ with shepherds and the wise men arriving at the house when Jesus was two years old. Everyone will be in costume with live animals: sheep, goats and camels. The church is located at 4548 Sunnyfield Drive. Enter drive from Hannah Ford Road (at first red light from Nashville) and exit on Sunnyfield Drive.
Brush Creek Baptist Church, Brush Creek, will show the “Life of Christ’ during a Christmas Drive-Thru Dec. 1-2 from 6-8 p.m. The church is located at 26 School House Circle in Brush Creek.

Tom Smart began serving Nov. 11 as minister of music at First Baptist Church, Tullahoma. A native of Hendersonville, he has served churches in Tennessee, Kentucky and Oklahoma.
Lakeview Baptist Church, Athens, called Clayton Dunsmore as interim pastor, effective Nov. 4. Dunsmore has served as a pastor in Tennessee and Michigan. He retired as director of missions for Cumberland Gap Baptist Association, based in Harrogate, in 2011 and has served in interim pastorates since then.
ASSOCIATIONS
Duck River Baptist Association held its 192nd annual celebration on Oct. 22-23 at First Baptist Church, Winchester, and First Baptist Church, Tullahoma, respectively. The theme for the annual meeting was “John 3:16” and featured messages by Chris Noland, pastor of First Baptist Church, Decherd, and David Leavell, pastor of First Baptist Church, Millington. The primary item of business was the transfer of the DRBA property (the former Westwood Baptist Church in Manchester) to Encounter Life Church.
