Baptist and Reflector
FRANKLIN — Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave $3,047,051 through the Cooperative Program in August.
For the year-to-date, Tennessee Baptists have given $29,076,496 through the Cooperative Program giving channel that funds ministries in the state, across the nation and around the world.
With two months to go in the 2017-18 fiscal year, CP gifts are $585,105 or 2.1 percent above what was given after the first 10 months of the last fiscal year. Gifts also are $326,496 above budget needs for the year.
Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, is appreciative of Tennessee Baptists.
“It is a joy to take this opportunity to thank Tennessee Baptist churches for constantly and sacrificially giving through the Cooperative Program for Great Commission work in Tennessee and around the world.
“If the last two months of our ministry and missions budget year are fairly strong, we have a very good chance of meeting and possibly exceeding our budget for 2017-18,” he said. “I am very thankful to be a Tennessee Baptist. Our TBC network is made up of some of the most generous churches in North America.” B&R
