BRENTWOOD — After a slow start in November, the first month of the 2014-15 fiscal year, Cooperative Program giving rebounded in December.
Tennessee Baptist Convention churches gave a total of $3,325,814 through the Cooperative Program in December.
For the year-to-date, Tennessee Baptists have given $5,589,845. The amount is $321,602 or 6 percent over the amount given last December.
The total, however, is $118,488 or 2.1 percent below current budget needs.
“We rejoice that Cooperative Program giving is more than 6 percent ahead of last year’s pace,” said TBC Executive Director Randy C. Davis.
“We are so very thankful that so many of our churches understand the genius of financially supporting missionaries at home and abroad,” he continued.
“Christian education, benevolence ministries, and missions and ministries right here in Tennessee occur through a great unified channel of giving: the Cooperative Program.”
